Inventor Consulting Before you hire any company to do work for you, here is a suggestion to follow. One of the first questions you should ask the company is, "Is my product idea patentable"? If the company can not give you a straight answer, do a search at a search engine to hire a specialist who can do the research for you. You will save a tremendous amount of money and you will get the answer you seek. There is no point to patent pend an idea if the product idea is not patentable. Hire someone outside of a company to do the research for you. If you decide to follow through with your product idea, do the work yourself. Create the best prototype you can and if you want a professional prototype manufactured, hire a company yourself to make sure you receive the prototype. No need for a middle man. I know people personally who have paid someone $1000.00 to create a professional prototype and when they asked for their prototype, the middle said he was not able to find it. Think about it for a moment. Who the hell misplaces a professional created prototype? I write about my experience being scammed and I also write about my personal friends experience who have been scammed. We could have spent our money first finding out if our product ideas were actually patentable, spent our money on a professionally created prototype and hired a manufactures ourselves. The reason why I say this is because I could easily sell my own product at Amazon and Ebay online and I could easily head out to department stores such as Walgreens, CVS, BedBath&Beyond myself to pitch my product and get it on the shelves to market. Do your research, do the work yourself to save yourself from getting aggravated, pissed-off, time wasted and your hard earned money wasted.
